Terrible Aug 21, 2009
By Paul Fazio In theory, the snuggie might be a good idea, but it sheds like you wouldn't believe. It's practically unusable it sheds so much. The material is so low grade and cheap, fabric sheds off in large patches even after washing it many times. I can't believe I had never heard this problem before I went and bought one. If you read this, do yourself a favor and do not buy this terrible product.

Cheap fabric Sep 13, 2009
The pilling and shedding from this blanket is so ridiculously bad. It has ruined a load of towels I threw in the wash with it - red pieces of the snuggie all over the towels, and impossible to pick off since there is so much. I tried using the snuggie, but it shed so much on my clothes and couch - will be throwing out this piece of junk.

too much shedding Oct 16, 2009
By Cynthia D. Williams I agree with the other reviewers about the shedding of this product,it seems the more I washed it , the worse it got.Instead of giving it to a Goodwill store I threw it in the trash

Cheap Quality Fleece! Dec 01, 2009
By OrangeCrush
"Still shooting with Film!"
I was given 2 snuggies as gifts and they are very warm and comfortable however after just 2 washes the fleece started pilling. For those out there that are unschooled in the differences in fleece, pretty much every fleece in the world is soft and warm to begin with. One of the biggest differences between high quality and low quality fleece lies in the "pilling effect". Pilling occurs when the garment's fibers roll up, often after being washed, and lie on the surface like tiny round pills. This pilling effect serious effects almost every aspect of the fleece including how it feels and its ability to keep heat in. All fleece pills eventually. You can tell how old a Patagonia synchilla jacket is based off of how much pilling has taken place. High quality fleece doesnt pill for quite some time and cheap fleece starts to pill almost immediately. I had serious pilling after only 2 washes with the Snuggies and I am over 20 washes with my Slankets and they still havent shown any sign of pilling yet.
The bottom line - Snuggies are cheaper but you get what you pay for. A Slanket costs more but its going to last you a considerably longer amount of time than the snuggie and it will keep its softness and its ability to keep in warmth much longer than the Snuggie. I gave my Snuggies to the Salvation army and purchased 4 Slankets. My advice is to stay as far away from the Snuggie as possible. Spend a little more and get something that is actually much higher in quality.

Furballs Everywhere Nov 28, 2009
By Nikki I wish I had read these reviews before buying this product. It is warm and snug, but I have lint-balls everywhere! Unless you like vacuuming your sofa and carpet every single day, save your money and buy a regular blanket.
