nice fit Jul 17, 2010
By GaryGnu I've been useing this slip on my favorite recliner that my favorite dog sleeps on most of the day. My Aussie sheds a ton so I had to wash and dry this slip maybe 4 times in the last 5 months. The slip still looks good and has retained it's elastisity (which is key). The slip has gotten a bit 'frizzy' but that's probably my fault for not washing and drying it on a gentler cycle.

EXACTLY RIGHT May 13, 2010
By Dorothy Weiss I purchased this slipcover for our brand new huge, really huge recliner for our family room which everybody loves to sit in, including the dog. The recliner was getting lots of usage. The stretch slipcover fit over the recliner completely and perfectly and looks almost as good as the chair. We are so pleased, we purchased a second slipcover in a different color so we can alternate. Our brand-new recliner stays clean underneath the Sullivan slipcover which is not only functional, and practical, but pretty. Surprisingly it fits our chair and matches our family room color decor exactly right. The Sullivan slipcover even has pockets for all the tv and cd remotes.

Pretty Good Oct 07, 2009

"Happy"
The color looks just like the color on the screen. I think it has kind of a green look. Kind of a Kahki. THE FABRIC IS WONDERFUL. It is soft and cuddly. I thought it was going to be thin from other reviews I had read but it feels like winter knit pants to me. It probably will snag but not like I thought. It sounded to me like a million snags would occur but if dogs get their toenails stuck, it will probably snag. An adult just sitting in it I don't think it would snag. I had a cotton slipcover before and it was a night mare for getting to fit and stay. Putting this on required that I get on the floor to tie the ties. But the ties are an asset because it will help hold the slip cover in place. I feel this is much much better than the cotton duck. I am thinking of ordering an additional slip cover to cover the seat. If you sew that would be no problem. I think it would make it look even better. I have a large lazy boy, well I thought it was large, but this cover is a little too big all over. Maybe it will shrink when I wash it in hot water and put it through the dryer. I plan to add an extra set of tie right behind the foot piece because my recliner is not square on the bottom. It gets smaller. The slipcover smelled nice on arrival. It didn't have any smell at all. Some fabrics have a smell but this didn't. I am picky and always looking for faults, so I find them. If you are easy going you will love this. If you want a professional fit it can be done with a little effort. As any generic cover this is not perfect.

"no time to clean"
The cover made our old chair look better than new! Good directions on how to put the cover on, and it has stayed in place! I wish that there were covers for lazy-boy sofas - - I'd love to recover the other furniture in our family room

My old, worn-out recliner looks much better now! Jun 12, 2011
By Sara Mitchell I just received my Sure Fit recliner cover a couple days ago and fitted it on my recliner yesterday morning. I am pleased with the results. It looks very nice. Instead of wanting to junk my old white leather recliner with scratches and tears (but still very comfy), I feel like I can make do for quite a while longer now. Let's face it, it is not like getting a brand new piece of furniture--it's a slipcover, but it looks so much better. Why spend money to buy new furniture if you can just dress it up a little and make do for a while. The instructions were OK, but I also found it helpful to go to the Bed and Bath site that has a video on how to put it on. I realized that two sewn-in elastic loops were missing in the back that you are supposed to fasten to hardware at the bottom of the chair (the last thing you do after fitting the cover on), which worried me, but it doesn't seem to make any difference really. The above bad review does not seem fair to me. It was fairly easy to put on and looks very nice. Also, I saw somewhere where someone said it takes two people to put it on, but that is ridiculous. I am a little woman, 5-foot tall, and I really had no problem. I am glad I made the purchase. I really love my chair except that it was getting so worn and tattered looking. Now I can get more good use out of it and spend my money on something else I need instead of having to buy a new chair.
