AAA+++ Apr 06, 2008 Slipcover is exactly as described. Color is a perfect match to the sample, and it fits perfectly. Highly Recommend.

Totally dissapointed, but not unusable.... Feb 24, 2008 I am very dissapointed in this cover, which is considerably upsetting because I've been wanting to get one for a long time and it is VERY expensive. It is four pieces, which means four pieces to slip up and show the original chair. The worst designed of them all is the piece that covers the foot rest and seat pad. My chair is very "average" yet I could barely get it to fit behind the cushion. And when you do, there is nothing to hold it in place except for tucking it in. So the moment you sit on it, it pulls out and about 1/2 foot of your old chair is now showing. This happens without fail, every time. There are a few things Sure Fit did right though; they made the cover out of soft, nice colored fabric (I got the sage), and there is a built in hole for the chair handle which is placed just right. And the smartest idea was built in elastic straps on the back bottom of the arm pieces and back piece which slip under the feet of the chair to keep them from sliding up. (But if you have the chair somewhere that you have to see the back, it's kind of a jumbled mess where all the straps come out, and they made them white, so it's noticable.
BUT- the cover is not a total waste and that is only because I know how to sew. I'm going to take their idea of having elastic straps that secure it in place and add a couple more at the back of the seat cover. Since recliners are made to be seperate top and bottom parts (so they can recline smoothly) there is a pretty generous gap if you stick your hand between the back and seat cushions. A couple more straps back there to slip under the feet I think would keep that part in place pretty well. Also, my recliner is old, and perhalps newer ones have larger arm rests, but the arm pieces fit very loosly on the top. I crammed a couple of small pillows under there to take up the room (which is also more comfortalbe, but ugly). Again, I think some sewing would fix this problem too.
But for a whopping $160, it is totally unimpressive and I'm going to have to put a great deal of work into making it acceptable. That's $160 towards a NEW recliner which is probably what I should have done instead of trying to squeeze a few more years out of mine. It's too bad there aren't any other stretch covers available that are more thought out. I'm not sure how they can sell a product like this without testing it and seeing all the flaws.
Oh well! That's my opinion!

Surpasses Expectations Aug 09, 2007 Opening the package was immediately impressed with the material used, the construction details, the color as desired, and the neat package in which it was wraped to keep it clean and future storing if needed. My daughter found it one of the easiest items to "put together" and we both liked the separate pieces for different parts of the recliner. When finished it gave the chair a just-new look and fit beautifully, unlike one piece covers of the past. I highly recommend this manufacturer and this product.
