Great Curtains! Jun 14, 2010
By I'm a mom Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R26P33SH8DG2ZY *Please be sure to watch my video of both the pink and brown curtains and see my images I posted - note I put 54" but meant 84"* Okay - so I read the 3 bad reviews on this product. I bought these curtains for my daughter's room because she is extremely sensitive to the light and wakes up as soon as the sun starts to rise. After purchasing them, I was wandering through Target and suffered serious buyers remorse when I saw "blackout curtains" for half the price! Well, I bought those, intending to return these as soon as they arrived. Boy, was I disappointed when the Target "blackout" curtains barely blocked half the light! When these arrived, we promptly removed our Target curtains, placing them in the playroom instead (where she has sleepovers) and installed these. The room went black - just like in the hotels! The curtains hang nicely and although they are not quite the color pictured, they work well in her room. It's summer now, school has let out, and my baby has been sleeping until noon! Wow! What a difference. Oh, and I checked Wallyworld. Those curtains that are half the price - are only one panel! By the time you buy two panels, you've paid the same price anyway - or nearly so. Oh, and one other thing, my daughter's room, which was the hottest room in the house in the summer, and the coldest in the winter - is now quite chill in the summer, thanks to the insulating quality of these panels. I'll post a video review as soon as my daughter cleans her room! I plan to purchase 3 more sets soon for the guest rooms as I find these are an *excellent* value! Although probably not in beige ;)

Great Curtains Sep 20, 2008

These are everything promised- they block light from coming in. The fabric is soft, not at all stiff. Also, the customer service is good; I got them shipped to me very quickly. I got the orange curtains the the color closely matches what you see pictured here.
I noticed the pictures show different hanging styles. (Some show rings while others show a rod pocket.) The ones I got have hidden tabs- which is really the easiest style for hanging.
All in all I am satisfied with the purchase!

I hate these curtains. Dec 14, 2010
By Alaina I uploaded the "Product in use" images for the beige curtains. I am a 23 year old night-shifter who wakes up when the light reaches a certain intensity. I have just woken up 3 hours into an attempt to get 8 hours of sleep for the second time in 2 days. So let me tell you something--
I wasted my money on these curtains. They don't work as claimed, at least in the beige color. I could still comfortably read a book with these curtains and another set of shades drawn at 12 noon. The only way these curtains alone are blocking out 99% of the incoming light is if you take the small tieback pieces used to tie the curtains back and tie them around your face.
So Buyer Beware, save your money. Maybe the darker colored curtains work better, but beige is a flop.

The drapes are pretty, hang well, and are high-quality, plus the room-darkening layer works very well.
I will buy again.

Excellent Curtains!! Oct 07, 2010

I couldn't have been happier hanging these curtains!
I purchased two sets of the black colored curtains along with 2 Levolor Sphere Rod Set, Brushed Sienna, 3/4-Inch Diameter, 36 to 66-Inch Width. Shipping was free, and quick, all items arrived within 6 days! Thank you again Amazon!
These curtains are as promised, black out.. It was noon in the high Colorado mountains where I live with no clouds in view when I installed these on my two bedroom windows, which face south towards the sun. Once I closed them, the only light I could see through the curtains was by standing a few inches from them and seeing very few tiny pinholes of light, similar to faint stars in the darkest night sky. Standing more than a few inches away, you see no light aside from what bleeds through the top/bottom/sides depending on how close you installed them to the wall. I used the Levolor Curtain Rod Set linked above and they hold the curtains from the wall approximately 2 inches, so there is a very small band of outside light on the top of these curtains, but only due to the curtain rod I used. The room, even with these bands of light, was still extremely dark for noon on a bright day.
The curtains I received came with two tie backs per set, the same black fabric fashioned into approximately 5 inch wide straps with two white cord rings sewn at either end to affix to tieback holders. The top of the curtains have two hanging options. You can either stick the curtain rod through the entire top of the curtain, or there are about 8 loops on each curtain so they can appear more like pleated drapes with large, soft pleats when bunched together. This is a great advantage, depending on window width and style you want to have. Speaking of style, as these are made from polyester, they could have a "pooling" effect if you hang them to where the lower length of the curtains can "pool" on the floor making a satin-like curtain pillar on either side of your window. Also, due to being polyester, once you remove them from the bag to hang, the wrinkles disappear after a day or so, so no need to iron these prior to hanging. The curtains also came in a small, reusable zippered storage bag :o)
All in all I have no regrets with these and I am planning on buying more sets in other colors for my children's rooms soon. Highly recommended! At a decent price, and a multitude of colors to choose from, you can't go wrong with these, no matter what room/window you're updating.
