I am really pleased with this bedding set. The comforter is nice and puffy and the material is soft and of good quality. All of the appliques that you see (boats, anchors, wheels) are made of a soft, fuzzy material which really adds to the style. The sage green is a little brighter than what the picture shows, but it looks good with the various shades of blue. The quality that you receive for the price is amazing. The only drawback is the lack of a matching mobile; however, I found one with sailor bears on Ebay that matches the color and style perfectly. Would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking for a nautical theme that is different from the others out there. I can't wait to see our little sailor in his new bed!

When we got the set it already had stains on it! Soho's return policy is only 7 days and they're only open for 4 hours a day 5 days a week. so if you miss their little window your out of luck! DON'T buy anything from this seller!!!! Oh! and it is light blue and a BRIGHT LIME GREEN not a pastel grayish green as it is in the picture!

I bought this bedding set over a year ago on Amazon (by the way they only had "5 left in stock" then too.
This bedding wasn't my first choice but I was on a budget and the really nice sailboat bedding online was really expensive. I found this set "on sale" in December 2010 and purchased it. I was very excited when it arrived and even more excited when I pulled all the many pieces out of the bag that I got for just over $50. I was a little disappointed that it only came with 1 crib sheet but no big deal, this was for our 3rd boy so we had plenty of white and blue crib sheets around.
The smell caught me off guard but I washed everything (valances & diaper stacker included) in Dreft twice and the smell was gone. Again, no biggie. THEN we went to put the bumper on the crib and it did not fit! I have noticed the inside of our crib is a bit larger than our other 2 boys' were and needed a bigger mattress to fit it so that may be the case but I was very disappointed.
I really liked it after it was on the bed but when my baby was about 4 months old the strings to the bumper started falling off! Then the one sheet it came with started to fray in the seams. The only nice things about this bedding set were the quilt which I've washed several times with no problems and the skirt. We never hung the valances, maybe we will one day but as of right now they wouldn't really match anything anyway since I can't even use the bumper.
I definitely do not recommend purchasing this crib bedding.

The pictured bed set looks nicer than the one I recieved. However, the set I got was still nice, and for the price it was about what I expected. But, if you are picky and unsure what set to get I would recommend spending more money on a nicer set because this one is kind of cheap looking and it DOES have a weird earthy smell that is hard to get rid of. The pillow in the picture is different than the one I got and the green color is much more prominant than the picture shows. Also, if you have a portable crib, this set wont fit very well, it's much too large. I do really like the design and the comforter that came with it was the nicest part of the whole thing, I am satisfied though and I will make it work, but if you are really picky, just go with a different set.

I love the comforter and I wish the set came with more litte pillows! Great bed-start for your baby.
The color is not exactly as advertised -- the green is pistacchio green. The fabric is ok. For the price, it's OK.
