Softest towels ever made Mar 20, 2010 This is the softest towels I ever have seen or purchased. The only problem I don't want to use any other brand of towels. My daughter visited over the holidays. She now doesn't want to use any other brand. When washing use fabric softner to maintain the lush softness.
The best Oct 03, 2009 I bought 4 of the towels and wash cloths in Polished Platinum in September 2008. I normally shop for towels in the $8-$10 range, but decided to splurge on these based on reviews I read online and in magazine reviews. This was well worth the splurge as these towels are the softest and most absorbent I have ever used. I really notice the difference when I use one of our old towels or use hotel towels (even higher end hotels). None of them are nearly as soft as these towels. They have held up well over the time we have had them, using them and washing them very regularly. They are still soft, absorbent, held their color, and have not frayed. I plan to buy more of them and will probably never buy a different brand towel again.

THESE TOWELS ARE ABSORBENT & SOFT, BUT.... Sep 30, 2009 My wife & I had been searching for several months for a good set of bath towels that are both absorbent and soft. (I rank absorbency as top priority, and she ranks softness as the highest.) During this time, we purchased (from local stores) and returned at least 4 sets of towels that initially appeared to meet our criteria, but they did not hold up to more extensive examination after we got them home. So we were beginning to conclude that new towels meeting these criteria were no longer available.
Then we came across Amazon's offer of the Lenox Platinum Collection towels with the bamboo fibers incorporated ---and the mostly positive comments made by many reviewers. So we decided to try a set of these. Using Amazon's "4-for-3" (4 items for the price of 3) special offer, we purchased 4 bath towels. Surprisingly, the 4 towels were sent individually from 4 different shipping sites---extending from Massachusetts to Arizona. But we tried the towels and found them to be some of the softest towels that we have ever used. And after a couple of washings, they also met my criteria of good absorbency. So we purchased 6 additional hand towels to make a set, and we are generally satisfied with the functional aspects of these towels.
The only problem that we have with these towels is that some of them have begun to discolor. We purchased the Moss Green color, and 3 of the towels are showing yellowish blotches after only a few (1 - 3) washings. My wife insists that she has made sure that there is no bleach residue in the washing machine before washing these towels. So this discoloration seems to be due to something wrong with the stability of the color dyes in the towels. Obviously, this is a concern to us. Since the towels each came from different places, they are likely from different lots. So that may explain why some are discoloring while others are not.
In conclusion, these towels are functionally very good, but there seems to be a varying problem in the color stability in these towels.

Towel got harder not softer Sep 28, 2009 Maybe I got a bad set or something, but the bath towel, and hand towel after just a few months has gotten harder not softer like the other reviewers say. It's still very absorbent, and I can tell it is durable but definitely not soft. I've found a less expensive and much better bamboo towel by another manufacturer
Best towel ever Jan 04, 2009 Beautiful, very large, absorbant, maybe the nicest towel I own. Received it for Christmas. Will buy more!
