 Fantastically soft towels Apr 05, 2009

I first ran across these towels at a Lenox outlet store. The softness, (and price) was pretty incredible. I went on to purchase them at Amazon, because the price was better. So, on to the review......
The softness is far and above any other towel I have ever felt. Per instructions on the label, I washed them first. And without softener, (which the lady at Lenox said to do). The texture of the towel changed a little, becoming a tiny bit rougher. It's like the towel's nap was originally combed/brushed out, and washing undid that. Still, the towels were very soft. And, after using one just once, there was no turning back. The absorbency is fantastic! It's like a sponge in the way it removes water. Better than anything I have used. (well, maybe a shamwow, but who would use that on themselves?) The second washing, I used softener. The towels came out much more like the original condition, and I have used liquid softener ever since, without any problems. Considering many other towels go for as much as these do on Amazon, I think these are a very reasonable buy. Oh, and the size is just fine, and drying time is not an issue.
Update: It's a little over a year later, and some problems are showing. The color has started to fade (a little unevenly) and that shouldn't be for this price. Also, the softness is not quite the same, but that could be from the softener I used. (As the Lenox lady warned). But again, at this price point, I am a little disappointed.

I love these towels, the problem is I don't want to use any other brand. My daughter visited and loved these towels. I gaurantee you will also love them.

I purchased some of the slightly cheaper Lenox towels and was so impressed, I had to give these a try. The price tag IS high, but boy these towels are worth it--SO soft, like no towel I've ever touched, let alone owned. Very absorbent. I washed before using the first time and that seemed to make the towels even softer and more luxe. If you can't afford these, the Lenox towels that are about $10 cheaper are awesome, too, just not as awesome as these!

These products are very plush, and the color accents are lovely. However, I did not realize that they are not made in America, but are made in China, when I purchased them. Perhaps I missed something in the product description.
