 Scratchy and Hard to Keep up Nov 19, 2009

The colors and look were as pictured and the set was very reasonably priced. Two things led to this low review (i rarely rate things low, btw)
First, the material of the comforter was extremely rough and scratchy. I have had maybe 20 comforters over the years, and this was by far the roughest. so much so that if i am lying on top of it, i need to put down a towel to protect my elbow or back from getting skin irritations. this is not an exaggeration.
Second, we had expected the comforter to be machine washable. It wasnt clear to us that it wasnt. But the tag says dry-clean only.
We wouldnt purchase this set again. It is probably about to go in the guest room. LOL

Great set for the price. No complaints at all. The pillows do come kind of squished but leave them out for a day or 2 and they re-gain their shape. The bed skirt also comes kind of wrinkled but just spray a bit of water on it and throw it in the dryer for 10 mins and all the winkles magically disappear. Hope this review is helpful.

This comforter set is wonderful. It looks much better in person than online. So far happy with the quality. Good value for the price. I will buy again from Amazon!

Material is cheap. Would have been nice if they had sold it as pictured with two sets of shams. It needs that second set, I think. There were loose threads everywhere which had to be trimmed. The comforter is rather small, not sure it is actually the dimensions shown. Filling is uneven and lumpy. Also, would have been nice to know it was dry clean only. There is absolutely no way that this item EVER could have been sold for $300. I'll be using it as back-up only.
