Not as room darkening as I expected May 26, 2010

The review title says it all. I thought these curtains would do a better job at blocking all of the light, but I had to purchase a liner to achieve the full darkening effect. With the curtain alone, a diffuse glow still came through. I am a daytime sleeper and work overnight, and I had hoped the curtains would replace the foil I used to use. With the added liner, it all works out. I mounted the liners on a tension rod, behind the curtain, rather than attaching them directly.
