In the end, I decided these were fine for my purpose, but I nearly returned them when they first arrived. I purchased 24 to use for everyday in lieu of paper napkins, and they are a good price and quality for this. The problem with ordering a fabric item online is that you can't judge the hand, and the product description does not let you know that these are rather loosely woven and informal in appearance. I had hoped to buy napkins with a sateen finish, but that would probably require some serious ironing. These get pretty crumpled in the wash, and even after being ironed, they are not especially smooth or crisp. The combination of their price and softness make them a good selection for everyday or very casual entertaining, but do not get them for a more formal table.

I have chased separate sets of napkins for years. I finally decided to do the restaurant thing and have several sets of a basic napkin I like. Cloth napkins add such a nice feeling to a family meal. The redwood color works perfectly and I love the simplicity of several sets that match.
Comfortable size, great quality. So much healthier for the environment than paper. I also enjoyed the very reasonable price. I am glad I made this investment in my home for my family.

I bought these napkins in Blueberry Color DII Solid Set of 4 Napkins, Blueberryfor my sons's birthday. I must say that the picture does not do justice for the beautiful color that I received. 2 shades darker. I was not dissapointed with the quality, look and price. Will definitely buy more colors for other events. ;)

another reviewer mentioned that these napkins do not lay flat, even after ironing. I do not understand why she rated them 4 stars. These napkins do not lay flat nor do they fold flat. They are not very soft and just barely adequate for a cloth napkin. They stain more easily than other restaurant quality napkins I have and do not bleach well. The stitched edges are very narrow and rough, giving the appearance of seconds selection.

I bought Blueberry napkins for [...] and they have a great color that doesn't wash out. I've washed mine a dozen times and they don't lose color. If you use them straight out of the box for a party, they look great. Once washed, however, they crumple into heap because they are cotton. I took mine to the bulk dry cleaners laundry service and got them pressed to use again for a party. However, if you want really great napkins and tablecloths at a great price, go to linentablecloth.com. They have great stuff and the prices are unbelievable. I needed this particular color of napkin for a party service I have but I wouldn't buy them at 4 for [...] (as they are listed now) because they are just not worth that much work.
