 Fun and cute but not durable Jun 03, 2010
My eighteen month old loves this placemat. It's cute and fun. But the color is already chipping off even though I haven't used anything more abrasive than a dish rag and liquid dish soap to clean it, and it scratches easily from her utensils. Also, it would be nicer if there were something on the back to keep it from sliding around so easily.

I bought several of these with various patterns, a move I regret. I should have bought several of the same design, because my kids love them so much that they fight over which one they're going to eat with. I had actually expected it to be a little thicker and padded, but they are flat and thin, about the thickness of a CD but flexible- they can be rolled up. They hold up well to spills, although chewing on it does cause some wear and tear.

its very useful, while waiting for their meal, they have a chance to practice either animals names or the numbers.

My daughter loves this series of place mats, but unfortunately the images have already started to scratch and wear off after only 3 weeks of use. Another appealing children's product that is not durably enough designed for little mess-makers.

We got this for when our grandson comes over and it helps keep the table cloth clean where he eats. It is easy to clean, very durable. And our grandson loves to see and talk about the barnyard animals as well as count them. It becomes a game where we take turns asking questions about the animals and numbers.
